At the invitation of the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife (MINFOF) from Cameroon, ATIBT participated in the celebration of International Day of Forests, held on March 21, 2026, at the Autonomous Port of Kribi, under the theme “Forests and Economies”.
A Presence Dedicated to Sustainable Management
Through its participation, ATIBT sought to highlight its commitment to the sustainable management of tropical forests and the promotion of a responsible timber sector. This initiative is part of the Tropical Timber Trade (TTT) project, implemented by GIZ and funded by BMZ.
This project aims in particular to Fair&Precious at the heart of the message
The event also provided an opportunity to highlight the Fair&Precious brand, which embodies the sector’s commitment to responsible production, balancing the preservation of forest ecosystems with socio-economic development.
Through its communication and awareness-raising efforts, ATIBT pursues a clear objective: to demonstrate that certified tropical timber is a credible and sustainable solution to climate and biodiversity challenges.
A space for dialogue and collaboration
Beyond visibility, this participation helped strengthen exchanges with institutional and private stakeholders in the forestry sector.
