A new short film to raise the awareness of the actors of the forest-based sector is available

Within the framework of the FLEGT-REDD and FLEGT-IP projects financed respectively by the French Fund for the Environment, the European Union, the Union of Industrial Wood Producers (SPIB), in collaboration with the International Tropical Timber Technical Association (ATIBT) commissioned the production of a short film.

This short film is part of a set of 9 short films classified in two collections: "good practices" and "major concepts" developed by three professional unions of the sub-region (UFIGA in Gabon, SPIB in Côte d'Ivoire and FIB in DRC).

The SPIB and ATIBT are pleased to present a short cartoon movie, produced by the ALMA Production agency.

This is a short film to raise awareness among the actors involved at each stage of forest management : from logging to processing and transport.

This film tackling a challenge for the forestry sector allows to inform the following audiences : trade union leaders, government officials, civil society, traditional chiefdom, executives, employees and workers of forestry companies and even wood buyers/consumers and others actors related to forest management.

This short film deals with the traceability of wood in the supply and manufacturing chain and belongs to the Good Practices collection. This short film initially concerns actors in the Ivory Coast but can also be shown in the Congo Basin.
